TBR List: March 2017

TBR List: March 2017

I am feeling rather caught up on books right now. I only have 2 books sitting on my nightstand, so of course I need to go to the library to pick up my next batch. My TBR list this month includes a good amount of YA fiction, which is odd given my recent post on shifting preferences. It’s mostly because of old NetGalley requests I made and my prioritization of books I wanted to read for 2016 that I didn’t get to. I’m hoping to find some other great reads. I only have one 5-star read so far this year. I need more!

Books I’ll be reading in March 2017

The River at Night by Erica FerencikThe River at Night by Erica Ferencik

How I got it: I won it from No More Grumpy Bookseller.

Why I got it: Becky’s review made me want to read it.

Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline WoodsonBrown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson

How I got it: I borrowed the audio CDs from the library.

Why I got it: It’s my YA book club selection for March. Annie picked it, and I was excited because I have heard great things. I chose the audio because it’s in verse, and I thought it would be easier to let someone else read it to me.

Why I got it: It was on my list of books I wanted to read in 2016 but didn’t get to.

Why I got it. It’s been on my TBR list since June, when I read Jen’s review.

The Impossible Fortress by Jason RekulakThe Impossible Fortress by Jason Rekulak

How I got it: I was approved for the eARC on NetGalley.

Why I got it: It was compared to Ready Player One, my husband’s favorite book (which I also enjoyed), so I knew I needed to read it. If it’s good, I’ll make Jim read it as well.

    1. That’s what I’m hoping! I should be able to start it next week. I’m finishing up The Woman in Cabin 10 this week on audio. So good!
