TBR List: July 2017

TBR List: July 2017

I have a fun mix of books selected for July 2017. I actually read (or am reading in the case of the last book) all of the books from my June TBR List, so that’s pretty exciting. It doesn’t always happen that way, and I managed to read a bunch of unexpected books, which is even better.

Books I’ll be reading in July 2017

When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon

When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon

How I got it: I borrowed it from the library.

Why I got it: I keep hearing about this book. It was one of my suggestions for book club for July, but we settled on something else. I still couldn’t resist reading this one though.

The Boy Is Back (Boy #4) by Meg Cabot

The Boy Is Back (Boy #4) by Meg Cabot

How I got it: I borrowed it from the library.

Why I got it: I heard Meg Cabot talk about this book on a podcast, and I was so intrigued by the format – it’s all emails, texts, journal entries, etc. I’ve never started in the middle of a series, but I’m going to give it a try.

What I Lost by Alexandra Ballard

How I got it: I borrowed it from the library.

Why I got it: I’ve heard great things about this book, so I suggested it as our YA Book Club pick for July.

We Are Okay by Nina LaCour

We Are Okay by Nina LaCour

How I got it: I borrowed it from the library.

Why I got it: I read about it in a Goodreads blog post for pride month. I loved Nina LaCour’s writing in You Know Me Well, so I’m excited to read one of her other books.

Hello, Sunshine by Laura Dave

Hello, Sunshine by Laura Dave

How I got it: I was approved for an eARC on NetGalley.

Why I got it: I loved Eight Hundred Grapes, and I’ve been wanting to read another of Laura Dave’s books. I couldn’t pass this one up when I saw it on NetGalley.

The Fifth Letter by Nicola Moriarty

The Fifth Letter by Nicola Moriarty

How I got it: I borrowed the audiobook from the library.

Why I got it: I’ve been wanting to read this book since it came out in January. I love Liane Moriarty, and I’m so intrigued that her sister is also a writer. Plus I’m a sucker for female friendship stories.

What are you planning to read this month?

    1. I’m about 1/4 of the way through, and it’s been a bit of a struggle. I’m not quite sure what the issue is. I’m hoping it gets better.

    1. Thanks! Yes, I did end up with a couple of beachy books, but it’s summer. It’s allowed. 😉 I’m trying to get through some fun ones because I’m planning to do ARC August and only read ARCs next month.

    1. Yay! Enjoy Eight Hundred Grapes. I loved that one. I just finished Hello, Sunshine today, and it didn’t really work for me, but maybe you’ll enjoy it. It’s well written, just not my kind of plot.
