A Grown-Up Kind of Pretty by Joshilyn Jackson

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book once I adjusted to the Southern accent and cranked it up to 1.25 speed. This book starts with the end and then backs up and explains itself after the first chapter. I love that. It feels like you’re in the action right away. The book alternates between the viewpoints of three strong, sassy women: “Big” (Jenny, the grandmother), Liza (“Little”, the mom), and Mosey (the daughter). All are 15 years apart.
